If you're talking about This Week, I didn't dig it on first listen. I'm not big on female "hood" rap. The more I've listened to it, though, I've enjoyed it. She's got some phat raps but what holds the album together is the production -- thank you 9th Wonder ("Don't Rush Me"). All in all, I think she's pretty over-hyped.

i didnt find it as hood as youre describing, but that was only after first listen
8/2/2005 9:51:25 PM
i'm with rawwulf kinda on this one, i have a hard time listening to a female rapper's album all the way through... but i should give it another chance, a friend of mine keeps sayin' that she's the only female vocalist worth listenin' to-ZiP!-

Wait, are we talking about this week? Hasn't this been out for a hot minute?Man, I thought you were talking about some new shit I had missed.

The album is all right. I know that 9th Wonder did a lot of the songs on the This Week album. My fav is "Supa Luv". Tight track.

^meh. she has potential.i like jean grae better.
8/3/2005 2:24:43 PM
I'd rather listen to Rah Digga's trashy ass than Bahamadia any day. Apani B. Fly is probably the best female rapper of all time.
8/3/2005 2:36:02 PM
^agree about apani. dunno bout rah digga though...
8/3/2005 2:39:23 PM
