6/14/2005 11:28:41 AM
not making fun at all, just stating a fact
6/14/2005 11:28:49 AM
so am i.
6/14/2005 11:29:41 AM
^^^ haha, I love that line, love when someone else from the south (or who at least supports a team from the south) calls another team "redneck" haha, ohhhh shit! got me there pot!and that pic was from a great day, chillin with dad, fishing, game on the radio, dont feel bad about that at all[Edited on June 14, 2005 at 11:31 AM. 6/14/2005 11:30:06 AM

1rst round picks for Tenn in 2003:1rst round picks for Tenn last year:1rst round picks for Tenn this year:in fact in the pro bowl Tenn only had one more player than ncsu despite having twice the players in the nfl, and the 2nd was an injury reserve.[Edited on June 14, 2005 at 11:51 AM. Reason : btw, has there ever been a player who chokes more in crunch time than manning?]
6/14/2005 11:48:55 AM
I'd really feel bad about myself if I sat for a year or two behind a pro-bowl quarterback. That's so unreasonable.
6/14/2005 11:57:57 AM
NyM410 wins in the 1st round by KO[Edited on June 14, 2005 at 12:27 PM. Reason : and he didn't even have to use a baseball bat]
6/14/2005 12:23:52 PM
hahah, you all can do better than that, usually the opinions are somewhat funny but at least get the facts straight, and before anyone says "go back to tennessee or blah blah blah", I didnt say a word about UT in this thread until someone else did and I have much love for State, my second favorite college team now that I go here actually, just making a statement about Rivers... Brees wasnt a pro bowler when he was drafted and wasnt a pro bowler when Rivers did not win the starting job...you cant even begin to compare the number of NFL players from UT to State... not even close...From 2003 starting day rosters, couldnt find last year... 1. Florida 40 Notre Dame 40 3. Florida State 37 4. Miami, Fla. 36 Georgia 36 Tennessee 36 7. Texas A&M 33 8. Michigan 31 9. Ohio State 2910. Penn State 28 Nebraska 2812. Southern Cal 2713. Colorado 2614. California 25 Auburn 2516. LSU 2417. North Carolina 2318. Kansas State 22 Arizona State 22 Stanford 22 UCLA 2222. Syracuse 20 West Virginia 20 Illinois 20 Iowa 20 Wisconsin 20 Washington 20 Alabama 2029. Michigan State 18 Miss. State 18 South Carolina 1832. Virginia 17 Texas 17 Ole Miss 1735. Arizona 1636. Maryland 15 Boston College 15 Virginia Tech 15 Oklahoma 15 San Diego State 15wow, that powerhouse of San Diego State has more... marshall faulk count as 5 maybe?and as far as the pro bowl no one pays attention to that, half the players dont even go anymore, I could give a rats ass about that, just have to look at raw number of NFL talent[Edited on June 14, 2005 at 1:26 PM. Reason : ^]
6/14/2005 1:25:52 PM
atleast hes not fat.
6/14/2005 1:28:04 PM
exactly
6/14/2005 1:31:58 PM
6/14/2005 1:34:28 PM
hahaha
6/14/2005 1:35:50 PM
fear not, maybe this will happen again:
6/14/2005 1:36:39 PM
set 'em up......
6/14/2005 1:40:20 PM
Maybe Phil can be a journeyman backup/starter, like my all time favorite football player Steve DeBerg
6/14/2005 1:59:32 PM
DeBerg played with Red Grange I think... he had to be 40+ when he retired...
6/14/2005 2:00:51 PM
considering the fact that i fucking MENTIONED IN MY POST that UT has far more nfl players than state, its obvious that i am aware of that fact. ut was also never coached by mike o'cain.
6/14/2005 2:15:58 PM
better to sit on a bench than have a sentence handed down from the bench
6/14/2005 3:12:16 PM
^^ alright, we will go with that... how about we compare pro bowl appearances all time? I feel pretty confident about that one as well
6/14/2005 4:05:05 PM
I think the fact that he was pointing out that NC State had a higher percentage of it's players in the NFL on the Pro Bowl last year than Tennessee is just pointing out that quality is better than quantity.
6/14/2005 5:45:51 PM
that might be true if the NFL had mediocre players... if you are in the NFL, you are a badass athlete/player, I dont care if you are a practice squad player, if you are in the NFL you are a badass and better than any former college player who didnt make it... it just matters how far back you want to go. Going by your logic UT has a "higer percentage" of its players go pro than State, so therefore, quality over quantity
6/14/2005 5:57:55 PM
SHUT THE FUCK UP. Why would you bash your 2nd favorite team? This is THEWOLFWEB, not THElittlevWEB. So keep UT out of it.
6/14/2005 6:04:59 PM
6/14/2005 6:12:51 PM
once again, I never said a word about UT until other people did, so I am not the one that needs "to keep UT out of it. I never said a word about NC State either until someone else did... logic is fun

6/18/2005 5:29:39 PM

8/10/2005 11:16:45 AM
it isI got P.Riv on my fantasy team as my backup QB...I'd LOVE to see Brees go down and Phil wreck shop on Thursday
8/10/2005 11:45:36 AM
I was playing against the Chargers in Madden last night...damn I was trying to injure Brees so P Riv could come in]
8/10/2005 11:46:18 AM
^would you take madden over ncaa?
8/10/2005 11:50:30 AM
thats a really tough call...i love the wolfpack and the panthers...both games are great...they compliment each other too, ie importing college players into madden...tough call...if you had to get just one, you wouldnt be dissatisfied with either...but if you got $100...
8/10/2005 12:03:54 PM
you hve to work it out with a buddy to where one of you has both games
