if you aren't gonna put back to the topic list back then put that navigation thing on the bottom of each thread as well so you dont have to go back to the top to change threads.

drop down menu would be fine, but i just kept forgetting those at links...

I read from left to right, like everyone else reading this website, and I think it's stupid to have the least-used navigational item--topic subscription--on the right and the most-used one--return to list--on the left.
