...to get my programs on the front page? Now, I understand if my news was rejected because something was wrong (too long, didn’t fit the format), but how can I know if no one tells me why it wasn’t approved. If there was an error in the submission, it would have been helpful for the mod to reply to my PM and tell me that he didn’t know what the fuck I was talking about cause he didn’t get anything from me.Most stories are approved the same day. I submitted mine on Monday. Someone submitted a story on today and got theirs posted. If I can get an explanation as to why my stuff isn’t there (you didn’t get it...something was wrong with it), I wont be so mad, but otherwise, it would be very helpful if it were posted. That’s what this is for right? To get the info out to the wolfwebbers right? Well that’s what I am trying to do. I would like TWW'ers to come to my programs.~Tammy

Have you had any experience?

ewww, u nasty...seriously though. What the fuck is up?

There are probably a couple reasons your story wasn't posted. Number one, most of the editors don't even check their mail, and the ones that do are lazy. That being said, the ~ half that do check their mail base their story selections on the topic at hand, and whether it applies to the student body as a whole. Now I will speak for myself. I found your article pretty informative and thought that it would interest the student body, IF it contained some more information. Financial Planning: what does this include? Dr. Levi Watkins Lecture: who is he, what's the lecture about? is the rest of the basketball team going to be there? just caught that Movie Night: what movie(s) ? Sorry that no one responded to your request, we aren't the greatest with customer service around here. I hope that helps. Matt

^ah hahaha (basketball joke)thanks. All I needed was an explanation. I didn't type more because of the word limit (which I probably went over anyway). I did provide a link for more information though. Anyway, the program for tomorrow night was pretty self explanatory, and for Movie night, our guests have 2 movies to choose from "Man on Fire" and "The Butterfly Effect".Tonight's lecture probably would not have attracted most of TWW, although I though it was an excellent lecture and everyone, black or white or whatever, could have gotten something out of it. Monday's program was a summary of tips for us youngins on how to begin building for the future (savings, money management, credit cards, etc) and information on why these things are so important (credit...buying a house, car, etc...favorable interest rates, etc)[Edited on November 9, 2004 at 11:21 PM. i don't know if it will help your programs geton the front page, but you can suck my dick if it would make you feel better.
11/10/2004 2:16:43 PM
hey i'm an editor...i'll post your story for a BJ
11/10/2004 2:47:32 PM
Maugan just didnt want to post it. The most recent story up there now was submitted on Tuesday morning and was approved less than an hour later. Maugan gives me some bullshit about "only being able to post so many news stories at a time". Wouldn't it make sense for it to be first come first serve...unless its something urgent (like the Meningitis story). It's Wed and my information still isnt up there. The week is almost over now.

It's because you're black.

Maugan this Maugan that...All I hear is waa waa waa waa.Really, I've read better shit in the insomniac's midnight almanac. Sorry if the events of your Sorority aren't quite what I'm looking for when I make out my weekly planner. You'd have to provide me with more than "free snacks" to get me to show up to a lecture that I didn't have to go to in the first place. From http://www.thewolfweb.com/story_submit.aspx

It was information about programs that we host to benefit the campus community. Its not for you to decide its level of interest, its for all of the students to decide. I thought the fucking front page news was for getting information out to the Wolfwebbers. What the fuck do you think I am doing.
11/10/2004 6:40:51 PM
thank you for sparing us.its truely appreciated. And just so we're blatantly clear here, its entirely acceptable to blame ME for not doing something that I have no obligation to do in the first place. Fantastic reasoning there. You should go for your MBA.And while its up for the student body to decide what level of interest they have in the events, its up to me (AND THE OTHER FUCKING EDITORS) to decide what graces the front page of this website. If we don't like it, then go make a goddamned thread about it so it doesn't really matter what we think. Your drivel didn't cut it. Sorry. Thank you for not playing again.

"BTW, tonights program was great...wish you guys would have been there"I would have loved to attend. But my sole source of information is the front page of TWW. I am incapable of using any other means of collecting data/ knowledge. I've had to pee now for 3 days, but I can't find anywhere on the front page where it's says it's ok to go. Damn you, moderators! Damn you all to hell!

There are a bunch of other front page stories currently pending in the "front page pool" as well---the editors try to get as many up as we can that would be interesting to students, but it's hard to post them all and keep them organized with the current system we have to work with. Sometimes people submit front page stories 4 weeks before the event, and then others submit the day before it needs to be posted, and it's just hard to keep track of when stories should go up in relation to when the event is, etc. All of the stories are just in our inbox with all the other PM's we get too. We do the best we can, but sometimes we miss good stories, and sometimes crappy ones go up or stories get expired, and it's nothing personal towards the user that submitted it.
