what was your original s/n?
10/28/2004 8:18:36 AM
i don't know guys. the mods are all different people with different opinions. just because i don't see something as a suspendable offense doesn't mean that one of the other mods might. all the mods agreed that pic bombing wasn't right and i think you guys will agree, but the particulars weren't talked about. i made a statement based on what i felt was fair without consulting the other mods and i should not have done that since it is obvious some of the other mods disagree.

I suspended you.Padding/pic bombing/generally trying to kill threads:message_topic.aspx?topic=260134&page=1Admitting that you're trying to kill threads:message_topic.aspx?topic=260142&page=1#5472536If you think you can argue that what you were doing was technically not pic bombing since you only posted one image per post, don't bother. You know what you were doing.message_topic.aspx?topic=259389&page=3#5467642
10/28/2004 9:37:08 AM
there you go....good point bobby!!!
10/28/2004 10:05:23 AM
posting the same thing over & over in a thread is also called padding& people used to get suspened for it non stop
10/28/2004 10:32:04 AM
hey bobbydigital, i'm sure i'm going to be pissing in the wind by even trying this, but have you ever considered that you can achieve the same end without stirring up so much shit?no, scratch that, i'm sure you have, you're just trying to push the line for how much shit you can stir up in the name of righteous moderation, right?hypocrite.

I think that Crazy J and Joe should be the only people with suspension powersI got no beef with Marko or Sparky, and I don't know BobbyD so I could give a fuck about him, but I feel that if you post on here (such as the above named mods) you should not have suspension powers. I feel that you mods may be partisan when it comes to certain posters and have beef with other posters. Any other board I have been a moderator at didn't allow us mods to suspend, that was left up to the board admins. It was because most of the regular posters were friends with the some of the mods.just my .02

Eh, he got what was coming to him. GG mods for backing each other up.02
10/28/2004 5:06:00 PM
I think partisan politics come into play on certain situations
10/28/2004 5:09:55 PM
got an example?
10/28/2004 5:29:28 PM
I should say "could" come into playbecause we have everyday posters who are mods here, and they happen to be friends with alot of the posters on here
10/28/2004 6:20:15 PM
well since crazyj & joe don't spend much time (if any) on tww every day it makes sense to give other people suspension powersone possible change could be something like suspend by comititee, 3 mods have to agree or something worthless like thateither way, picture bombing & padding are both clearly against the rules
10/28/2004 6:32:58 PM
but the rules are not applied evenlysee kontalonis as an example[Edited on October 28, 2004 at 6:38 PM. Reason : ...]

I think mods more or less gives everyone the benefit of the doubt and that if you wanted them to lock down on everyone that breaks the rules, you'd really be crying for their heads, whining that they're power hungry and unfair and that you should have more leeway. Half of T-dub could find themselves suspended.I mean, if you're going to have a history of bad behavior, it only makes you easier to come after. It's sort of like being a convicted felon. The rules don't apply the same to you once you screw it up the first time. If you mess up even a little bit, cops will bring the house down on them. Crawdaddy has been notorious for this crap, and it's easier to suspend him since he's done it before and obviously doesn't know how to stop.I'm sure there are other instances with other people where this isn't the case. Mods to have lives...they can't watch everything that is going on. They don't want to seem like Nazis and take away all of your posting freedoms. They're needed to keep the order around here, and I think they're doing a pretty good job.
