can we also have an out-of-state rides list? Even if there is no map. Perhaps we could just enter a state and there'd be a list of where people are going in other states. I don't want to ride to Jersey alone twice in the next month and a half for Christmas and Thanksgiving!

I actually think out of state is more important. The longer the ride, the more likely someone would need a ride or want someone to join them. Also, if someone is going way up North, they might easily be able to give a ride to someone who lives in New Jersey. This is why a whole us map would be quite beneficial.

I dunno how this could be implemented, or if it's really even necessary as the people exchanging rides could sort this out after making contact, but....could each ride posting have a threaded list of destinations? For example, say I'm going to Charlotte. Most people would therefore hop on I-85/I-77 south to get there. Therefore I'm going to be passing through Greensboro to get there, among many other cities. So my ride posting would actually reflect the various stops: Durham, Greensboro, Charlotte, etc.Just wondering. Thanks! Seth

i think that is something that could be figured out (like the Greensboro drop-off on I-85/40), but listing the highways would be good, because people could figure out on their own if a highway goes near their hometown...

I dont think we really need hawaii or alaska on there. You cant drive to hawaii and nobody is going to drive to alaska.
