you people are retarded. at least sparky did something about her.
10/12/2004 2:49:53 PM
God damn get off the girl's cunt just cause you know her in real life. Her and wolfweb obviously weren't a good match, let it go.

10/12/2004 3:41:35 PM
OMG I'm scared for real though....it comes down to this....tiberius abused the system. he was posting under false pretenses. he posted java script that manipulated the webpage. and then he gets pissed b/c i suspended an account that wasn't even his. WHAT THE FUCK!!!i want to be a part of a society that puts people in jail and then lets them out if they change thier name. you're DUMB!!
10/12/2004 3:49:02 PM
I really don't see what was wrong in it... like he (sparky) said in the "Free Sarose" thread... it was the userNAME that was suspended, who the hell cares who actually was using her name?
10/12/2004 4:02:52 PM
yeah! good logic. i hope you're the victim of identity theft and YOUR ass gets locked up instead.because i mean, ITS THE NAME that counts.not the actual perpetrator[Edited on October 12, 2004 at 4:11 PM. Reason : .]
10/12/2004 4:10:44 PM
it's happened before. so?if the dumb cunt keeps her shit logged in with people around, it's her fault.
10/12/2004 4:17:52 PM
10/12/2004 4:19:09 PM
it doesnt matter. the point is the person who committed the offense should be punished.
10/12/2004 4:44:20 PM
i got questioned by thte authorities when someone sent something to my house that was paid for via paypalcome to find out it was a stolen ccyet they still tried to hold me responsible
10/12/2004 4:54:03 PM
that's exactly what happened.....tiberius is who posted the script and he's who is most upset. i just got done talkeing to sam and she doesn't even care that sarose was suspended.
10/12/2004 4:56:17 PM
for all you losers who got their panties in a wad, the girl will be back......with a new name and hopefully a new attitude towards this site
10/12/2004 7:38:10 PM
new name, yes, new attitude, i mean come on, look at how many times GroundZero has come back and been an ass
10/12/2004 8:29:47 PM
Its not that big a deal, Sparky did what he was supposed to, suspended my name, end of story. JOSH screwed it up, eventually it will be unsuspended...
10/12/2004 8:50:19 PM
i dont encourage his termination
10/12/2004 9:17:51 PM
10/12/2004 9:20:49 PM
^ jesus he got suspended from a fucking website. Write up a doctoral thesis for fucks sake. You people REALLY overestimate just how much we care about any of you and your overall approval or disapproval of the way we do our jobs.
10/13/2004 12:03:04 AM
I think you're forgetting, Maugan, that a moderator's primary responsibility is to the users who make up the community. Without us, your role is meaningless.
10/13/2004 12:16:56 AM
case and pointthat's exactly the attitude that needs to gothey resent the responsibility and relish the power to abuse and now they can fucking suspend peoplejust wonderful
10/13/2004 12:17:31 AM
I'm sending "Louis" over to your place to hold a gun to your head so you're forced to use this website over and over and over again.because, you know we tend to lock/suspend at a whim.Frosh: Ok. If you see the inane amounts of silliness that we have to deal with, you'd have the same attitude I do. Remember this website existed for a LONG ass time without mods. The only reason they became necessary was because of stupidity by the user base thats only been rivaled by recent "events." [Edited on October 13, 2004 at 12:26 AM. Reason : .]
10/13/2004 12:23:34 AM
That's really not the attitude you should have. "If you don't like it, leave"? The purpose of the site is to support a community of NCSU students, not alienate them. And I've seen the silliness! I've seen plenty of threads that come and go, and I've seen plenty of the discussions that have taken place in the mod forum ('cause Cass's account used to be pretty promiscuous).[Edited on October 13, 2004 at 12:36 AM. 10/13/2004 12:24:38 AM
I fail to care that much about a fucking website.
10/13/2004 12:29:33 AM
Then you ought not be moderating the forums. It's not just "a fucking website." You've been on here long enough to know better.
10/13/2004 12:30:36 AM
Let me elaborate.I fail to care that much what you people think about how I'm doing. That's up to Jake, if he thinks I'm fucking around and pissing people off with my actions (not my words mind you) then he'll be the one to tell me that. In fact, everytime we suspend someone we have to give a reason why to Jake. So just don't go around thinking theres no accountability for us, its just not to you.[Edited on October 13, 2004 at 12:35 AM. Reason : .]
10/13/2004 12:33:29 AM
Look, I'm not saying anything about the job you're doing. I'm saying that the way you're reacting to this issue isn't gonna do anything but fuel this nonsense "us vs. them" paranoia that this dude is trying to start up.
10/13/2004 12:35:43 AM
He's going to be one of those paranoid kids no matter what.I bet he thinks I'm gonna follow him around and lock all his threads for no rhyme or reason.I bet he thinks that the sole reason we're here is to suppress free expression. We're no better than Papa Stalin to this guy. We're fucking sending people to the goddamned e-goolag here son. You'd better get your shit in 1984 order, or we'll break something off.Yeah.Right.Reference previous displays of indifference. Theres nothing I can say to that kid thats going to make him change his mind.
10/13/2004 12:40:17 AM
As long as you see where I'm coming from. And it was kind of a dick move for sparky to suspend someone and make a thread about it to get the glory.
10/13/2004 12:43:46 AM
Maugan, I've been "moderating" a certain kind of real-time online games going on 7 years now. Think 50 users and a few hundred actions (and infinitely many combinations with very complex reprecussions). I know what sort of silliness there is to be found on the Internet, and I still think you guys can do better. If you don't think you can, or don't think you should, maybe you should admit that the power is what you enjoy. I've seen all kinds of administators, and I've had to dismiss many from MUDs I've been responsible for. I can recognize exactly the sort of attitude that needs to be kept far away from an administrative position, and I'm sorry to say that sparky's actions and communications imply he should be kept very far away from responsibility. I haven't really experienced your moderation, and a single comment isn't much to go on, but it's not at all the right attitude to have.I'm of the opinion that the need for a rule represents a failure of the software-- obviously, this won't work here because there is a shortage of developer time, but the attitude can be adapted. The need for a suspension represents a failure of moderation. Your job isn't to exclude from the community, your job is to encourage productive and entertaining exchange within the community. I see way too many suspensions without warning on suspicious cause and nowhere near enough edits, warnings, and attempts to resolve issues. You shouldn't wait until it's "cool" to suspend someone, if it's what's called for, nor should you suspend someone because it's "cool" when there are alternatives so readily available that you have to figuratively walk around them on the way to the kill switch. I see TWW as a near total failure of moderation, and where it isn't a failure of moderation it's wholly misguided moderation."cool" and convenient are interchangeable in the above paragraph.my piece, minus flames and anger and what not.[Edited on October 13, 2004 at 12:56 AM. I stand by the moderators. I ran a forum for at least 3 years with several hundred users. When you're in someone else's house, "being a dick" is up to the owner. When you get kicked out for "being a dick", the owner (or his roommate, or his girlfriend, or his couch-squatter) doesn't have to justify kicking you out.
10/13/2004 1:03:06 AM
Yea, what Sparky did was fucked up...I didn't get an e-mail, had I known what Josh was doing I would have asked him to stop, I didn't want to be suspended..Then when he suspended me, he bragged, he was so proud...
10/13/2004 1:04:35 AM
^^I hate people with that sort of attitude.Don't invite people "into your house" if you're just going to "abuse them".[Edited on October 13, 2004 at 1:14 AM. Reason : MOTHERFUCKER JOSH DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG][Edited on October 13, 2004 at 1:14 AM. Reason : ^]
10/13/2004 1:13:56 AM
Different analogy then, whiner. You pay taxes to drive on a road.Since there's no law about swerving within your lane, you do it.When a cop gives you a ticket for reckless driving, do you argue to the judge that because "reckless driving" is left up to the administration, it doesn't apply to what you did?
10/13/2004 1:16:57 AM
worst. analogy. ever.you are god damn right i make my case to the judge.
10/13/2004 1:20:28 AM
Judge: Should have gotten a lawyer. Fine on the ticket and court costs. *smack*Bottom line: You don't like the leadership, leave. "Free country" goes both ways.
10/13/2004 1:21:49 AM
This isn't a house, they don't live here. This isn't a road, it isn't for utility.Stop making stupid fucking analogies to support retarded fucking conclusions. If you make a forum, or a game, or whatever, and invite people to it, you've got a responsibility. If you don't want to respect the responsibility, shut it the fuck down, get over your fucking power trip, and let someone who doesn't resent the responsibility do a better fucking job.
10/13/2004 1:21:52 AM
Take your own advice and start your own forum. You've made it obviously clear you don't like the rules.
10/13/2004 1:24:15 AM
The rules aren't what're in question, you yayman piece of shit. The rules are the furthest thing from the fucking question.Get the fuck out of my discussion, you asskissing fucking clown.
10/13/2004 1:24:53 AM
"I agree with dickhead removal" == "asskissing"Lovely. I'm done.
10/13/2004 1:27:09 AM
You haven't even bothered to read my points, or familarize yourself with the events, and yet you're attempting to refute me in support of abusive moderation. That is, yes, asskissing.Expletive not deleted, motherfucker. Get the fuck out.
10/13/2004 1:28:25 AM
A mistake was made. Wrong guy suspended. You're calling for the termination of a mod because of an accounting error.Familiar enough?
10/13/2004 1:30:19 AM
No, I'm calling for the termination of a mod because of the way he handled the mistake. After each reason was found to be full of shit, he invented another to support the suspension. After discussing it with me and admitting to me and in the original thread that he was incorrect, he now changes his stance and insists that I was "in the wrong", i.e. refusal to take responsibility for his mistakes.Oh, let's not forget his gloating, cross-section moderation, and laziness...He is not moderator material.[Edited on October 13, 2004 at 1:33 AM. Reason : .]
10/13/2004 1:32:37 AM
"Not moderator material" I may be able to go along with. "Terminate sparky" is what is in the topic line. Two very different ideas here.
10/13/2004 1:38:05 AM
Well, you ask for a lot, they offer nothing, you meet somewhere in the middle, it's haggling
10/13/2004 1:40:03 AM
Well, now that THAT is out of the way...Did "the account" post or not post a script that change the way names on the left column are displayed?Could that code not be used for devious purposes if everyone found it? (i.e., I don't like someone, I post a script that makes it look like they posted the goatse picture 100 times)Come on man, you say you've got moderator experience...wouldn't you nip that before it got out of hand?
