my point is this, why havent we as a whole locked/suspended most of those users who make a total mockery of this board?? Besides thoughtless usage of the boards, but sometimes those people who just rant and rave about pointless things can go on and on, and never get caught?Could their like be a "WolfWeb Council" who could be consisted of whoever, who use the boards daily enough to know who needs to be warned about their presense on TWW??Just a thought amist all the lockups...It seroiusly could save alot of us time when someone wants to actaully behave and talk like adults.rw

Nick I think it is a great idea for there to be a council, but this may have already been done, since there are already the editors. I really dont know their functions...but Jake and Joe are the moderators...its their board, and they are the ones who decide who is being too idiotic.

I'm a moderator at B-Boys.com, and we have a pretty good setup. Instead of having the guys who own and run the site moderate the forums as well, we have a division of responsibility. The owners are the ADMINISTRATORS, who add features to the forums, fix problems, add new content, and things of that nature. They in turn choose certain users as MODERATORS, who enforce the forum rules, delete threads, edit threads, move threads, ban users, etc. This saves the site owners a LOT of time and effort, which could be better spent on improving the site as a whole--not just on the message boards. This also would create a better atmosphere for the users, because many of them would like to be moderators and thus only post meaningful content and treat each other respectfully in hopes that their conduct may someday lead to their advancement.

no bart...its a hip hop site

well, i would agree with that, but only to a point...i would recommend suspension for users who constantly put up things that are not positive for the board as a whole...what would be a worry, though, is that those with opposing views would get pushed aside.i don't think that would be cool...i mean, it would be kinda weak if those who posted the most right now were the ones who made the decision, because it can get very cliquey...having the main guys as a check would at least be necessary, like the "council" could recommend something but must submit final decisions to the moderators.

!!!we should have tww survivor -- at the end of every week we can vote someone off the message board, in lieu of or in addition to, the poll!!!hehe[Edited on November 3, 2001 at 8:10 PM. Reason : there is no v in italics]

lol, good one Sally. I'm thinking ya'll should quit locking all the petty/ stupid stuff and let it die on it's own, 'cause it does anyway. I think it should be reserved for serious offenses. I just looked and several of the topics were useless / meaningless to me, but others thought they were good conversation. But hey, i was one of the suspended, so you know. . .
