Since there is an option for "Rides", I think there should be a section for people needed or wanting a place to live...would make it much easier than having to clog up classifieds, or if you're looking for a place, keeps you from having to dig through the classifieds to find one that is a potential

This is actually a pretty good idea ...

not that good of an idea... all roommate situations are different, and should be treated as such.

^ wtf?
3/17/2004 5:13:34 PM
well, the way it is now... with individual threads.... allows more information to be given for what type of roommate you want, etc.

make each one have a comments section durrrrrrr
3/17/2004 8:49:42 PM
^ exactly ... have an overall "basics" section and if you want more information you have a space to fill in whatever details (the INDIVIDUAL situation) are needed and post pics and other shit.

I think that that's a good idea...I know it would clear out a lot of the classifieds making them easier to look through as well as making it easier for people needing a roommate or a place to stay. There could be a separate message board devoted to roommates etc. if the comment deal became a problem.

i mean, it seems to me something like roommates would require more discussion than something like "books" could provide.

brilliant idea!

smath your an idiot the idea is golden
4/12/2004 4:33:19 PM
it's a good idea
4/12/2004 4:33:24 PM
it is a good idea and if people want more info...they can always pm people

I agree, good idea. If not a section like "Rides" or "Books", at least it's own forum. Optionally, include comments/reviews on apartments or townhouses that target students. It'd cut down on the "What do you think of XXX" threads.

A housing forum for roommate and apartment stuff would probably be the best. That way it is easy to implement, people can individualize the information, and I will know where to ask and look for apartment complex info instead of asking a general question in the lounge and having it moved to classifieds even though there is no buying or selling involved.
