I'm all for freedom of choice and speech and what have you, but please for sanity sake, is there nothing you can do about Salisbury's posting on the soapbox. He may have whatever opinions he chooses, that is not the issue, but he keeps bringing loooooong dead threads back to life and the only one thats posting in them is him....and those telling him to leave it be. I don't care if his next thread is about islamic terrorist in cohoots with chili preparing to assinate bush. i just want to stop the threads he keeps returning to life that only he updates and no one else cares about..which if im not mistaken is part of the rules, to first ask if this is something other readers might care to read or is it just cannon fodder and a product of the mirical of copy and paste.

How do you propose he ask if people want to revive a thread?Would you prefer he just make new threads on the topic? If you go to Entertainment, it's one subject, one thread. That's it. Maybe salisburyboy is just trying to keep things orderly.I don't really like a majority of the man's posts, but everyone's entitled to their opinion. So suck it up and deal.

He does not ask if people want to revive a thread, the threads are dead they have rolled over 5 times in their grave and he still keeps going in there once a week, finding some website copying some text and just pasteing it in there. There is nothing useful hes adding, the conversation in those threads tended to end on the very first page. And I told you, its not a matter of opinion. But its senseless that they show up once a week when no one, not even he is trying to revive it, hes only diging it up, because he puts no new life into his long dead threads. But its not even his opinion any more, he just pastes what he can find from a website, and adds nothing to it.[Edited on April 25, 2003 at 8:43 AM. Reason : df]

To my knowledge, it is not against the rules to bring back up a thread. That would be anabsurd rule. How would you define the rule?....that you can't bttt a thread that has notbeen posted in for 1 day?...2 days?....etc.As previously mentioned, I post in the same thread because creating a new thread on thesame topic IS against the rules.

if Jake or Joe haven't responded to a thread in here w/i a day or so, you can generally assume they won't. ergo, carry it to the soapbox, fellas
